SCHEDULE of SERVICES – before HOLY PASCHA in our Parish

Divine Liturgy on the Lazarus Saturday, March 31, 2018, will start from 9:30 am, and on Palm Sunday, the Divine Liturgy will start from 10 am.

  1. Holy WEDNESDAY – The Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts (the following Passion week will be served Wednesday – April 4th, 2018) from 5:30 pm, and there will be no Catechism for adults this Holy Week and during the Bright Week.

  2. Holy THURSDAY – Divine Liturgy of St Basil the Great with the Vesper service combined (on the day of the remembrance of the Last Supper, Thursday – April 5th, 2018) will be served from 9:30 am. The reading of the 12 Gospels will start from 6 pm that same day, and during this time, the traditional coloring of the Easter eggs will be in our Parish Kitchen, where everyone is welcome to help and learn this ancient tradition in remembrance of the miracle with St Veronica.

  3. Holy FRIDAY – The Royal Lenten Hours will be served from 9:30 am on Friday (April 6th, 2018) and the Funeral of Christ (Epithaphio) will be served from 6 pm with the procession around the Church announcing the sacrificial burial of Christ, at its conclusion (around 8:20 pm).

  4. Holy SATURDAY – morning (April 7th, 2018) the Vesper Service with the Liturgy of St Basil the Great will be served from 9:30 am, on the Christ descendance into the Hades. That evening from 11:45 pm, before midnight, the Resurrection Matins service will be served, and the Paschal/Easter Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning from 10 am.

  5. Saturday morning (April 7th, 2018) the Vesper Service with the Liturgy of St Basil the Great will be served from 9:30 am, on the Christ descendants into the Hades.

  6. That evening from 11:45 pm, before midnight, the Resurrection Matins service will be served, and the Paschal/Easter Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning from 10 am.
