Glory to God, once again with the blessing of our Bishop, His Grace Kyr Irinej, at our Parish of the Holy Resurrection of Christ in Lebanon PA, we hosted our 4th Orthodox Synaxis on July 26th, 2024.
We were blessed to have in our midst, as our guest speaker V. Rev. Fr. Timothy Hojnicki, from the Holy Apostles Parish in Mechanicsburg, Diocese of Eastern Pennsylvania of the Orthodox Church of America.
The event started with the service of the Canon to the Most Holy Theotokos upon which Fr. Timothy presented us with a "blessed surprise" by bringing for veneration a very precious relic, a particle from the Crown of Thorns which was laying upon the head of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We had the opportunity to learn about how this relic miraculously ended up at the Holy Apostles Parish in Mechanicsburg, and became a blessing for all the Orthodox faithful in the area.
After the service and the veneration of the relic, the lecture "Christ is King - An Orthodox View of Politics in a Divisive World", kept us all till late hours asking questions and finding answers to this very important topic.
We thank V. Rev. Fr. Timothy Hojnicki for his love and patience in his responses to the many of those who showed interest in this very relevant topic.
Here we would like to also thank everyone who helped organizing our July Synaxis and we hope to continue with God's help and the blessing of our Bishop and Father Kyr Irinej, to see each other soon in the following Orthodox Synaxis in September 27, 2024.
