Baptism of Nicholas and Barbara

On the eve of the feast of our great Father among the Saints, the Holy Hieromartyr Irenaeus, Bishop of Lyons—the heavenly patron of our Father and Hierarch, His Grace Bishop Irinej, whose name day we joyfully celebrate—through the sacred waters of Holy Baptism and the seal of the gift of the Holy Spirit in Chrismation, we welcomed our new brother and sister in Christ, Nicholas and Barbara, into the Holy Orthodox Church.

It was a truly blessed day—a cause of rejoicing both in heaven and on earth—as they were born anew of water and the Spirit, clothed with Christ, and united to His Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

May our Lord preserve Nicholas and Barbara in the grace of Holy Baptism, strengthen them in the Orthodox Faith, and guide them throughout their lives along the path of repentance, holiness, and salvation. May their patron saints always intercede for them, and may the light of Christ received on this sacred day shine brightly within their hearts.

We warmly welcome them into our parish family and into the Ark of Salvation—the mystical Body of Christ.

Many blessed years—Многаја љета—to the newly illumined servants of God, Nicholas and Barbara!

As many as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Alleluia!
