Glory to God, with the blessing of His Grace our Father and Bishop kyr Irinej, we started with our January 2024 Orthodox Synaxis (gathering) at our Parish of Holy Resurrection of Christ, Serbian Orthodox Church on the eve of St. Sava Feast day. After the service of the Supplicatory Canon to the Most Holy Theotokos (Paraklisis), and opening prayers to St. Sava the First Archbishop of Serbia, we had the blessing to have in our midst as our guest speaker V. Rev. Fr. Michael Varvarelis from the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Greek Orthodox Church who talked about "Preparation for receiving the Holy Communion". We would like to thank everyone who helped organizing this event which we hope, with God's help, to bring the people who would like to learn more about the beauty of the Orthodox Faith and its amazing Holy Tradition.
